Fly ash is a compound formed during the combustion of fuel coal in coal-fired power plants, a waste in the form of fine particles released from the combustion chamber through the chimney of the plant. The composition of fly ash usually contains Silicon oxide (SiO2), Aluminum oxide (Al2O3), Calcium oxide (Cao), Iron oxide (Fe2O3), Sulfur oxide (SO2)… and an unburnt amount of coal.
